Attendance at each workshop is £40 per person, if you wish to bring your horse there is an additional charge of £30. Horse places are limited to 3 with an overall place limit of 7 on the workshop. If you book all of the sessions in advance then you will get a 10% discount. Stabling will be available on the day but you must provide your own feed.
Tuesday night training sessions will be £20 per half hour per horse.

Understanding how horses feel and learn
Saturday 12th April 10am to 4.30pm
Have you ever wondered how your horse feels about things? At this workshop we will discuss equine body language and behaviour and what they tell us, and understanding how this relates to training, motivation and learning. This is a classroom based day with lots of video and group discussion and exercises.
How to build reward into regular training

Saturday 17th May 10am to 1pm
Half Day Practical workshop with opportunity to bring own horse. £25 per person, plus £10 extra if bringing horse.
Learn how to safely and calmly make more effective use of rewards in training, whether groundwork or ridden. We will look at how you establish safe boundaries and politeness around treats, along side the use of a marker signal. Learn how to assess your horse and plan training sessions to best suit their needs.

Target Training
Saturday 14th June 2025 10am to 1pm and to 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Discover the variety of ways in which target training can be used to create behaviours, from basic groundwork skills to veterinary care to trailer loading. Help your strong insensitive horse become light and responsive, help your reactive worried horse become calm and engaged. Practical workshop with opportunity to bring own horse, morning or afternoon session (£40 per horse place or £20 as spectator), or full day (£70 per horse place or £35 as spectator) options available.

Liberty Work
Saturday 9th August 10am to 4.30pm
Ever liked the idea of being able to work with your horse loose in a safe space? Wondered how people motivate horses to stay with them, move around them, but still keep it fun and enjoyable for the horse? Learn how to train liberty work in a positive way, focusing on calmness, engagement and enjoyment for you and your equine partner.

Work in-hand
Date Saturday 13th September 10am to 4.30pm
Whether it is part of rehabilitation after an injury, fittening work or just a way of enjoying non-ridden time with your horse, the principles of in-hand work are a valuable tool. Learn how the basic steps and cues can be trained through positive reinforcement, creating an engaged, willing equine partner. Practical workshop with opportunity to bring own horse.

Confidence Building
Saturday 11th October 10am to 4.30pm
Obstacle and object training is a great way to develop confidence in horses of any age. It is essential however that novel objects are introduced in a way that creates a positive experience for the horse. Learn how to break items down, build relationship and trust and create a horse that copes better in future with new situations and challenges.
