Fees as of 1st March 2026
In Person Training:
Basic rates for client VISITS between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday:
Coaching (ridden/ groundwork): £40 per hour/ £30 per 45 minutes/ £25 per 30 minutes
Evening or weekend visits: £50 per hour/ £37.50 per 45 mins/ £31.25 per 30 mins.
PLUS mileage charge of 45p per mile from my home address. This will be shared with any other clients in the area.
Behaviour Consultations
In Person Client Visits Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm:
Initial assessment including pre consult history and questionnaire and summary report (always online)
and In Person Practical assessment: £120 plus travel @45p per mile
Detailed client report (history, diagnosis and recommendations): £50
Follow up behavioural rehabilitation sessions:charged as training sessions, see above.
Evening and weekend in person appointments incur additional 25% charge.
Online Coaching Sessions
Online Coaching (ridden/ groundwork): £40 per hour/ £25 per 30 minutes
Video feedback for training or behavioural rehabilitation
I offer additional support via WhatsApp, if you are already a client you can send me video which I can send back comments and advice on. The fee is based on the length of recording that I send back to you along with the length of the video you have sent. It is £7 per 10 minutes of analysis. Advice and comments will either be in the form of a voice note, an edited video or a message.
The ownership of the copyright of these remains with me, and the lessons are not to be shared publicly without my consent. I treat all client information and videos confidentially and they are not shared without full written client consent.
Travelling further afield
Contact Helen https://spencehorsesense.com/contact/ to discuss larger distances. I do travel further, including Great Britain, Europe and the rest of Ireland but normally require a minimum of one day of teaching in the area to make it work, fee will vary depending on travel costs, travel time, accommodation and other additional expenses.

The following terms and conditions apply to courses, workshops, behaviour and coaching sessions, and clinics booked.
Bookings
Your confirmation by text or phone booking of your appointment is your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions
Please bear in mind when booking that I will teach in pretty much any weather, provided it is safe to do so. Alternatives to outdoor sessions include theory or practical sessions in the stable or tack room!
Cancellations:
Booked appointments which are missed, changed, altered, moved or cancelled for any reason will be charged as follows:
Within 24 hours or less of your scheduled session, the full fee is payable.
Bookings for workshops that are missed or cancelled for any reason will be charged as follows:
Within 14 days or less of the start time of the scheduled workshop, the full fee is payable.
If I should need to cancel your lesson, I will do so with as much warning as possible and I shall offer other available dates to re-book. If no acceptable date can be agreed a full refund will be given of any funds pre-paid.
